the night is cool and full of stars
great trees stand proud and tall
the water shines under a moon so bright
it could put the sun to shame
while high on the hill i pulse with wanting
to know more do more be more
feeling smaller than small
trapped in limitations and deficiencies
and almost brought to tears
by the realization i shall never be more
than an undifferentiated droplet of water
in a river rushing to oblivion
