Doing the happy dance of a poet published in the New York Times.
The Times ran a National Poetry Month challenge in which people were invited to post a traditional 5-7-5 haiku on New York City on one of six themes. I chose the theme "island" and wrote the following:
water surrounding
a universe in the world
tethered by bridges
If you click here you will see it, the seventh entry in the right-hand column, eighth if you count the piece in the separating banner. There is a lot of good poetry there to enjoy.

MY WORK HAS BEEN NOMINATED FOR SoJie (Solo Juried Invitational Exhibition) 21!
I am very excited to have my art selected, from over 73000 works of art, to exhibit in SoJie 21. SoJie 21 takes its name from the first letters of Solo's Juried Invitational Exhibition. This month is the 21st one; and 77 other artists, besides myself, are represented.
Winners of the invitational will be announced on May 29th, when a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded in three categories: digital art, photography, and traditional art.
