About RC DeWinter
Hello and welcome to my portfolio on Pixels/Fine Art America. One of my major artistic goals, with appropriate images, is to create digital paintings that you wouldn't know were digital unless I told you. If I could paint in oils I would...alas my eyes don't work with my hand, so I create most of my art from photographs that I re-imagine. Few of my digital paintings resemble the original photographs very much when I am finished with my vision. Of course I also create work that is clearly digital as well. Here's a bit about me: RC...

This image becomes even more alive with the word imagery, love especially the lines, "as one by one the stars winked out blotted to oblivion by shreds of clouds" the textured effect of the clouds evoke the active movement of blotting and shreds. Beautiful work! L/F
RC DeWinter replied:
Many thanks, Cynthia, I'm glad you liked both the painting and the poem,

Bunny Clarke
A beautiful scene and a haunting write. It almost sounds apocalyptic, you know, where everyone gets amped up because the end of the world is near. Fabulous work on both. :o)
RC DeWinter replied:
Well, Bunny anyone with a brain knows these kinds of storms etc. are dangerous but weatherpeople do become such drama queens about them...LOL and thanks much.
Theresa Campbell
Well done! Lf
RC DeWinter replied:
Many thanks, Theresa
Meg Shearer
I love the tones and atmosphere and how the stars seem to be mirrored in the reflections on the water and rocks. This is gorgeous Gina. And I love your poem, the anticipation, the let down, the renewed energy, and of course the comparison of the storm within to the one looming outside. Beautifully written! l/f!
RC DeWinter replied:
I;m glad you like this rather more extreme piece...you know I tend toward impressionism these days but this is much rawer. Thank you for your kind words.
Georgia Mizuleva
Fabulous power.
RC DeWinter replied:
Thanks so much, Georgia.
Joel Bruce Wallach
A beautiful look at the deeper dramatic elements of the weathery world, RC!
RC DeWinter replied:
Many thanks. I had fun with this one, Joel, especially since we were expecting the remains of Hermine, who kindly decided to stay offshore. But I magicked up a hurricane sky anyway.
