west wind
a stray breeze brought him into my life
a breath of fresh air in cowboy boots
he was one of those men you know you can't hold on to
and truth be told you don't want to try
he can't stay put for long
he was made a wanderer
beautiful and unexpected
unpredictable and never meant to stay
a butterfly in the garden of the universe
sipping the brightest sweetest flowers
before with gentle kiss
catching the next stray breeze out of town
i don't miss him
done's done
when I think of him I smile
