one of these days
the fraying rubber band
that holds my sanity (such as it is)
together
is going to snap
there's only so much tension
one can take before
kablooie

i need a little moon madness
a little time away from
the grinding of scythes
but saturday's child
must work for a living
so i dip into the only work i know
but the work's not working

i am
adrift in a sea of chaos
spinning round
in fathomless whirlpools
toss me a line if you see me
fly past

to catch it
