Detail of one of the Romanesque columns in the Basilica of Saint Stanislaus Kostka in Winona, Minnesota, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Minor Basilica of the Roman Catholic Church by Pope Benedict XVI in 2011.
The Basilica was dedicated on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1895 and has been extensively repaired and remodeled since. Saint Stanislaus remains a major cultural as well as religious center for the area's Polish population.
