Morning After
One hot summer night I fled to the sea
with a rucksack of heartbreak to drown,
but soon fell asleep to the waves' melody
and woke to the moon going down.
Sun entered stage left and off to east
shone Venus still full wide awake.
I turn a cold shoulder to love - worthless beast -
for everything promised was fake.
So shine, evening star, wrapped in silver and lies,
I'm deaf to love's poisonous song,
and better alone than with faithless surprise,
for every turn love took was wrong.

GEORGIA SHERON
RC, I really like your work. What medium are you using? This image looks like a watercolor as do other of your great images like Yellow Room and chair by window full of stars. Thanks for sharing your beautiful images. cheers, georgia
RC DeWinter replied:
All of my work is digital, Georgia. Most of it is created using oil brushes, many with an impressionist palette. Thank you.
