Summer Walk
Summer was upon the land,
too hot, too bright for one
who blooms in shade and shadow.
Off to the cool of the marsh I went;
I would find succor there.
Adventurous, I took a path I'd not explored,
stepping carefully along its curves.
The sun played hide and seek,
casting shadows through the overhanging green,
landscape in camouflage.
And isn't that like life -
reality disguised by its surroundings.
But unafraid I walked,
willing to let the puzzle pieces fall,
and with each step new wonders were revealed.

An instant mood and deep feelings hit me immediately with all your work RC. Your description and writing is something else. Yes life is like this path. Oh so good. F/L

Love this path...the green grass and shadows remind me of my childhood in Kansas...dirt paths are hard to find in Los Angeles. l/f!

There is nothing like a light dappled path to explore the mysteries on. Gorgeous painting and write up.

These particular lines... "reality disguised by its surroundings. But unafraid I walked, willing to let the puzzle pieces fall, and with each step new wonders were revealed." really hit home, emphasis on UNAFRAID!. Thank-you for sharing your gift of concept/image interwoven together...it paints the whole picture. l/f
