Description
2010 RC deWinter ~ All Rights Reserved ~~ In addition to design elements from the Far East, Victorians also admired and decorated with Indian motifs. England still held India in colonial thrall, and a great variety of local items, from cloth to rugs to furniture and jewelry was shipped back home by those serving there in the government or military. This postcard features a pair of satiny hollyhocks decoupaged over a delicately elaborate rectangle of Cloth of India.
