sometimes no matter how hard
we try to organize our lives
into something neat and orderly
an overwhelming passion keeps interfering
i have tried to arrange things sensibly
but here you have it
higgledy-piggledy
a hodgepodge of unrelated scraps
picked up who knows where
and kept for reasons
no longer remembered
allowed to gather dust neglected
that overwhelming passion
is now riddled with self-doubt
marked only by my scribbling
and this array of junk
