lost in a world of words
blue around the gills
my heart is hurting
loneliness is not a thing
that sits lightly
on the soul
in the thick cloak
of summer's night
the full moon shines
but not for me
once i was illumined
by diana's grace
but she has turned
alas
away
away away i too
have turned
from what once seemed
a blessed path
still
the muse lives with me
most of the time
and is the only one
i lie down with after each
long day's journey into night
