fruit
some ripely sweet
soft with buttery skin
some slightly sour
edged with a tang
some hard
crisp
a challenge to the teeth
none more iconic than the apple
symbolic temptation
but good for you
otherwise why the persistence of
an apple a day keeps the doctor away?
but i don't want to keep the doctor away
i need healing
tender ministrations skillfully applied
to all the bruised places
evident only to a discerning heart
i never eat apples

The apples so shaded, most turned away, the stems barely visible. Like they didn't want to pose. And I imaged this with the text. Autumn apples. Ripe and ready to eat, but ..I never eat apples. So interesting.....RC as always. F/L++
