Another view of the Kaministiquia River, locally called the Kam. This painting features the full moon shining over the late autumn forest on another branch of the river. The main branch of the river empties into Lake Superior in Thunder Bay, Canada. The name means "river with islands" in the indigenous Ojibwe language. Reimagined and painted in digital oils from a photograph by my nephew, Brian Coppola.

Peaceful and yet eerie at the same time. A lovely piece, with a beautifully rendered night sky, Gina. L/f
