walking the walk
i walk a silent path
lit by the moon
and the fragile hope
something wonderful awaits
so often i can see
what others will find
yet the window to my future
is shuttered
having lost everything
i approach the unknown
unhampered by fear
there is nothing left to be taken

On a more careful look - I apologize, those are stars, not a light touch of snow! - does New Orleans ever get snow? But so lovely and mystical!
Steve Breslow
Such a beautiful picture - the reflections, light and color, and the softness of it - you can almost feel the light snow falling

That silent hope I know so well. Here it is. I know this place, though I have never seen it. This is what your images and description always awaken for me. The connection is always there. F/L
RC DeWinter replied:
Yes, it's somewhat uncanny, your paintings pull me into your world as well. Many thanks, Randy.

What a gorgeous night scene, Gina. The way the moon and stars illumine the walkway is beautiful and comforting! f/l

so difficult to put a "mood" into a piece -you did it here RC -- that feeling of being alone, collar up against the cold, ditracted for a moment from your worrying thoughts to take in the raw beauty of the night. Terrific. L/F
Nancy Kane Chapman
Wonderful mood and essay on hope....sprinkled with night stars! As always, I am moved and enriched by your thoughts and images. F/L+

This is just lovely! It feels somewhat like a Hopper painting to me. So much to "see" beyond the visible. Another favorite, RC! l/f
RC DeWinter replied:
Ah, what a lovely compliment, Edward and I are old friends. Many thanks, Claudia
